Sonoma is often more “rustic and laid-back,” while Napa is known for its “grand estates and bold Cabernets.” On a private tour, we can easily bridge the two so you get a taste of both regions without feeling rushed.
Q: How many wineries do we typically visit?
A: We usually aim for three wineries. This gives you enough time to actually enjoy the scenery and the stories behind the wine without feeling like you’re on a marathon. If you’re a serious collector and want to hit more (or a casual sipper who wants to linger at two), we just adjust the pace to match yours.
Q: Do you pick us up in San Francisco?
A: Yes! We offer complimentary door-to-door service. We’ll pick you up from your hotel or home in San Francisco (or anywhere in Napa or Sonoma) around 9: AM. You can relax and enjoy the views of the Golden Gate Bridge while we handle the 60-to-90-minute drive into wine country.
Q: Are the wine tasting fees included in the tour price?
A: The tour price covers your private vehicle, expert guide, and transportation. Winery tasting fees are paid separately at each stop. This actually saves you money because it allows us to visit wineries that fit your budget—from $25 boutique tastings to $150 ultra-premium reserve experiences.
Q: Where do we stop for lunch?
A: Most of our guests love stopping at the Historic Sonoma Plaza. it’s a foodie paradise with everything from high-end bistros like The Girl & the Fig to casual deli picnics you can eat in the park. If you’re a Napa fan, we can also head to Yountville or the Oxbow Public Market.
